              The Black Portraits

                     SCHOOLS LEARNING

The Black Portraits schools learning programme is suitable for primary school year 3 (age 8) through to secondary school 6th Form.

The programme is designed to accompany exhibitions and offers a series of workshops for Key Stage 2 and 3  students. These sessions look at the history and developement of local human rights and social justice and  story telling through art and portraiture. There is a practical workshop within the gallery/museum and debate is encouraged. There is a choice of half or whole day sessions.

Where possible the artist, Paul Piercy, will be on hand to take questions.
